The golden eggs

A woman had a hen which laid golden eggs every day.She became very rich before long.

“If I kill this hen  I may get many golden eggs at once.

Then I shall become richer” the woman Thought

. So she cut the hen’s neck and slit the stomach.

But Alas! The woman couldn’t find a single egg at least.

The kohomba tree.

The kohomba tree has a medicinal value.  Tamils it ‘vempu’. The flowering season of the tree is between    march and april. Every part of this tree tasts bitter.  It has yellowish green fruits. It is used to make herbel oil.   The seeds are used as insecticide.   Some use the the twings of this tree as a tooth brush.   Leaves are kept in between the pages of books to prevent insects  from destroying paper. This tree is considered as one of the most  precious trees in the world.

Sweet drinks are prepared from mango fruit.  Various kinds of Mango jams are made out of mangoes and those are very sweet.  The mango tree gives shade to man and animals.
This tree makes the environment beautiful.  Birds build nests on the branches of the mango tree.    Mango tree gives them protection Destroying trees is a crime.
It is a duty of the people to protect the mango tree.
The mango trees serve the people happily.

The Flood

The amount of flood increases and causes damage to
Houses, lives, roads, bridges and even kills animals.  Village wells and cesspits too will get filled with water.  There are only minor floods in Sri Lanka. Even without  Rivers or canals, floods can occur.  There are some people who enjoy floods.  Cholera and diarrhea are some of the diseases that are induced by floods.

Fields

Before planting is done, the Farmer prepares   the field.
 First he  has  to  loosen  the    soil  with  the  help  of
 Plough  and    Buffaloes.  Sometimes this is done using a Tractor.caa70dyz
 Then he has to make the field muddy.   After   the preparation 
 is completed,   he can sow the paddy    on the mud.
 When the paddy plants are grown,
 the Farmer will have to spray some insecticides at     certain  intervals.
 After three to four months, the Farmer gets the harvest.
 With the help of other Farmers, he  brings paddy home.

Roses

Roses are very beautiful. They smell sweet and they have  many petals. Roses are soft and are in many colours.  There are red,yellow, pink, orange and white colored roses   in our garden.My sister picks roses into a flower basket and we offer rose flowers to lord Buddha.Each day butterflies and bees fly around the roses and they drink   nectar from the flowers. Roses are beautiful.    We all like roses very much.

Dew – drops

Dew drops are beautiful as perks Early in the morning you
can see dew.Dew- drops fall one in the morningThe flowers
hold dews on their petals Then the flower become more beautiful.

My flower garden

Myimages301 flower garden isn’t a large one. It covers an area of fifteen perches of land. It is very lovely. I have arranged it in such a way that it attracts any Body. At the entrance there is an arch of creepers. The creeper has light purple colored Flowers in my flower garden. There is a pond. It is a rectangular pond with an iron bridge over It. Lilly and lotus flowers are in the pond. Roses, Jasmines, carnations and orchids areamong the Other are four benches at corners to spend the Leisure time. Daily I water the flower plants In the evening. I have fitted there tube light to Get the illuminastion at night.

Are directed down wards. So that when an insect goesin to the pitcher it gets trapped inside. Although, it would Struggle to come out, it has no escape. The hairs keep it entangled and the insect would die exhausted. Ultimatelythe insect is digested and absorbed by the plant. This is how the plant catches insects.

A crow once stole a piece of cheese and flew
on to a branch of a tree. A cunning fox,
walking under the tree saw this.
“What a nice bird you are” the fox said.
“With glowing black feathers. And your voice
